Rates: Amount paid is equal to the time spent sculpting a miniature. More detailed/dynamic figures will lean towards the higher price end. Economy grades are also available

Approximate sculpting rates:

 

Concept art: Concept art must be supplied and must contain the pose of the miniature and all details. If concept art cannot be supplied it can be created at the charge of £1.25 a figure (any scale). Compulsory.

Amount: No minimum or maximum amount of figures (within reason).

ESD & ETC: Estimated start date and estimated time of completion. Please make contact for timelines.

Conversions: accepted, pricing varies.

Materials: Master Miniatures are sculpted out of two part putty called Kneadatite. It is designed specifically for sculpting miniatures and also to withstand the mould making process (Vulcanisation).

Property: After you have purchased the original from me it is yours to do with as you wish, sell the green, cast it, etc. I retain the private copyright of the figures which basically means I will keep a photo of the original for portfolio purposes. I require that credit is given to me (Alix Elder) for the original work when reselling the original or the casts. If you do not want me to show the original on my website at all or before the figures are released that's fine just let me know.

Payment: 50% of the fee must be paid up front (non - refundable). The other 50% is required ten days after completion. I can accept Cheques in £ Sterling, Postal Orders in £ Sterling or Bank Transfers in £ Sterling - (Preffered). Minimum payment accepted via Paypal £60.

Scale: The scale of your figure must be provided exactly to the mm. I determine scale by measuring from foot to eye. Providing a sample of a figure you wish the sculptures to fit in with will help a lot. Some companies measure from foot to eye and some measure from foot to top of head. True scale = normal human proportions, Heroic scale = body parts that can be artistically larger or smalle. Miniatures will be made 3.5% larger due to shrinkage that occurs during mould making.

Style: I can sculpt to other styles if you wish. Fees may be less or more depending on the style. Note: Sometime it is simply impossible to mimic another persons sculpting style.

Intellectual Property Rights: I can take on any project but take no responsibility for any copyright issues that may ensue. This includes any legal fees. I can not research every sculpture to see whether it may have copyright and/or intellectual issues.

Postage and Packing: Miniatures will be sent boxed and insured at your cost to avoid damage in transit. Any import/customs duties that are incurred are your responsibility.

Please note the prices below are just a guide, charges can be more or less expensive depending on what you are looking for. I offer two grades of sculpting (standard and high end) Which basically means the more you pay the better the sculpt as more time can be spent on it. The standard grade will be anatomically correct but completed quicker, less smooth, but this can be an appealing charectaristic to many figures.
